Over the years, our Pomona State School grounds have undergone wonderful changes and improvements. Much of this has been due to the dedication and hard work of our School's Officer Wayne, and teacher aide Shaylene. Under their supervision, and with the help of the students in the Pomona State School Garden Club, various areas of the grounds have been landscaped, nurtured, and transformed into places that our students and community in general love to visit and utilise.
Various play areas have been softened and beautified with mass plantings of trees, shrubs and plants. Our students enjoy playing and sitting on cleverly placed large rocks, smoothed logs and slabs of timber in shady areas around our grounds.
The outer reaches of the school grounds includes a rainforest and creek area which has been revegetated with the assistance of our local Landcare group.
