At Pomona State School we aim to provide students and staff with the technology required to enhance modern learning and teaching.
All classes have access to our Computer Lab, which is equipped with enough computers for all students in a class to work on individual tasks under teacher direction. The Lab is fully booked each week and a popular session on class timetables.
Our Resource Centre contains a pod of desktop computers for group work during class time, and individual students are also able to book these computers during lunch breaks if they wish to work on personal projects.
Each classroom in the school is equipped with an electronic whiteboard linked to a computer - which has a huge impact on teaching and learning styles. To complement this wonderful hardware, Pomona State School subscribes to a rich variety of online resources for teachers and students to access in school time and at home. There are at least one or two additional desktop computers in each classroom.
Every classroom has a group set of iPads, which are used for a wide range of applications in different subject areas by our students.
